GREEN TILE'S 2026 TOURNAMENT

88 TOURNAMENT PLAYERS. 3 ROUNDS. A FULL-DAY MAHJONG AFFAIR IN THE HEART OF QUEENS, NEW YORK TO CROWN THE BEST PLAYER OF GREEN TILE SOCIAL CLUB.

over 3 rounds (up to 10 hours), tournament players will compete in Hong Kong mahjong, according to Green Tile Social Club house rules and scored on Mahjong Fortune Collective — a new app for standardized mahjong scoring by community member Florian Koenigsberger. all game scores will be calculated and ranked via MJFC. full scoring + conversion rules to come. you must register to play!

PART ONE: TOURNAMENT QUALIFIERS
88 registered players. random app-generated seating. 500 chips to start. 3 hours to complete 8 scored hands (draws included). players with top 16 ranked scores advance. 

PART TWO: TOURNAMENT SEMI FINALS
16 players. table assignments snake-seeded based on qualifier results. all players restart at 500 chips. 3 hours to complete 8 scored hands. players with the top 4 cumulative scores advance.

PART THREE: TOURNAMENT FINALS
final 4 players. random app-generated seating. all players restart at 500 chips. 3 hours of all-you-can-play hands. highest scorer wins the day.
