Mahjong Speedfriending (November 2026)

two years ago a dating app partnership inspired us to create Musical Chairs Mahjong — our way of empowering as many mahjong friend meetcutes as possible in three hours.

join us for one final round of Mahjong Speedfriending at the cozy Sunset Park sake brewery, Brooklyn Kura. consider us ur neighborhood aunties … cuz we're here to put u in the right room w the right people 👯🤝💫

this event is specially designed to encourage maximum FRIEND meets. it is *not* for dating (don't be weird). what to expect:

🎶 Musical Chairs Mahjong: when the music stops, every player shuffles to a new seat or out of the tables. pick up the new hand in front of you, meet your new tablemates, and keep playing 🤭

🀄️ Hong Kong mahjong only: to make seat-shuffling easier. points tables may naturally form, but expect the play chicken hand most of the time!

🍶 Two glasses of premium sake: included in your ticket, in case you need some liquid courage* 😉

🌀 Conversation bingo: complete your card by the end of the night to enter the raffle for a 2-person sake workshop or (1) bottle of premium seasonal sake, courtesy of Brooklyn Kura.

*your ticket only includes 2 tasting glasses of sake. anyone attempting to game the system for more glasses will be promptly asked to leave.

this event does not include teaching lessons. all guests must be age 21+, no sake substitutions available. please purchase with intent. tickets are non-refundable 💚
